REMEMBERING MOTHER
When you remember Mother
And the things she did and said,
Do you remember the nights
She tucked you up in bed?
When you remember Mother
Is it her laughter or voice you recall,
Or just the fact that she was there
To lift you should you fall?
When you remember Mother
Do you see her cooking and sewing,
Do you remember her care for you
As she watched as you were growing?
When you remember Mother
And you were an adult too,
Remember as she was aging,
That she depended on you.
When you remember Mother
Her kindness and her love,
Remember that you were blessed
With a gift from Heaven above.
